About Us
My name is Shaimir Berríos Rodríguez, I am a 30 year old Puerto Rican Soap Artist, Speech and Language Pathologist and Henna/Jagua Artist. As you can see, I have many passions. I moved to Miami 2 years ago, right after Hurricane Maria hit my beautiful island. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved art, all kinds of art. I used to draw, paint, work with pottery, I sang in a band and attempted playing the drums and dancing. Now as an adult, I fell in love with Soapmaking, it has both my passions: science and art. I started working with melt and pour soaps back in 2009 but then I got busy with college and it wasn’t until 2017 that I started making cold process soaps thanks to a wonderful group of women I worked with in San Juan, P.R. in which one of them turned into one of my best friends now. I hope you enjoy my soapmaking journey as much as I have.
